What is Reiki? Reiki is a system of energy healing, originating from Japan. The word Reiki means universal or spiritual energy. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for this high vibration energy to flow through them, and from their hands into the client's body. Reiki works on the energy body, which incorporates the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the self. Blockages in the body's energy system which remain untreated will, over time, lead to disease at the physical level. The Reiki energy works to clear energy blockages, and restore balance. It removes negativity, replacing it with positive, healing energy. If you are interested in spiritual development, then regular Reiki treatments will bring spiritual growth, as will learning to be a Reiki Healer. What will I experience during a Reiki treatment? You don't need to remove any clothing during a Reiki treatment, except for your shoes. You will lie on a Reiki bed, and will be covered by a blanket to keep you warm and comfortable. The Reiki practitioner places their hands on, or just above, different areas of your body, while bringing through Reiki energy. The energy is normally felt as a gentle heat coming from the practitioner's hands, and going into your body. You may feel some movement of energy in your body as blockages are cleared. A reiki treatment is a deeply relaxing experience, which will leave you feeling renewed and uplifted. Prices A 60 minute Reiki treatment costs £25.00 (£20.00 for concessions).
